In the name of god amen
I frances mcCown in the County of agusta farmor
being very Sick and weak in body but in parfect
mind and memory thanks be unto god therefore
Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that
it is appointed for all men once to dye do make and order
this my last will and testament that is to say principaly
and first of all I give and Recommend my Soul into the Hands
of god that gave it and for my body I Recommend it to the
Earth to be burid in a Christian like and desant manor at
the discretion of my Executors nothing douting but at the
general Resurrection I Shall recev the Same again by the
mighty power of god and as tisching Such worldly estate were
with it hath pleased god to bles me in this life I give devise
and dispose of the same in the following mannor and form
Im promis it is my will and I do order that in the first place
all my just debts and funeral Charges be paid and satisfied
item I give and bequeth unto margret my beloved wife
the black peasing mare and Colt and rid Cow Cald

Item----I give to my be loved Sons gorg & frances
this plantation I now live on to be Eaquily devided
be twen them I likewise give to gorg a yallow Cow

item I give to my Son malcom that plantation formly
belonging to mathew young and a Cow Cald patterson
and his Calf and a bay pasing mare
Itim I give to my Son Jams a Rid Cow Cald lovely
and to frances a rid hefar
item I give to my Daughter marget a pyd hefar
nancy one pyd yearling
and Rid yearling heafer to katrin
I give to my Son James that plantation in the forks
and my part of that planatation Samuel Norwood formly
lived on I order that James pay macom five pounds
when Come to the age of menuraty
I order the to work Horses plow and tackelings not to be be
Sold but have them between george & malcom to work
the plantation with
Itim I give to you daughter Isble a black paseing

I order my belove wife margret to have hir mentain
ance of this plantation I now live on as long as She
Remains a widdow and to have no farder part in the
land
I order all the movables to be prisd and to be Eaquily

This last will & Testament of Francis McCown decd. was proved
by the Oaths of the witnesses, thereto and ordered to be Recorded
and on the Motion of Geo McCown (the other
Executor Margaret McCown having refused to take on
the burden of the Execution of the will) who made
Oath according to law Certificate is granted him for
obtaining a probat thereof in due form he having
with Security entered into Bond
