    Isabella Huston Clendenin Eckels

    Birth: 1747
    Death: 1811
    Cumberland County
    Pennsylvania, USA

    Isabella & James Clendenin had 9 children:Jonathan, John,Margaret,William,Anna,Jane,Mary,Isabella,James.
Isabella & Nathaniel Eckels had 2 sons: William Huston Eckels & Francis Eckels both buried in Silver Springs Church Cemetery.

Some family members believe that William Huston Eckels moved the remains of his parents, Isabella & Nathaniel Eckels from Pine Hill Graveyard and reinterned them in the Eckels plot of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church Graveyard, others believe they remain in Pine Hill Graveyard. There are no records found to prove just were their remains rest. I personaly would like to believe that their remains are in Silver Spring Church Graveyard. May God rest their soles werever their remains rest.

'Isabella, the eighth child of Samuel and Isabella (Sharon) Huston, on October 14, 1765, married James Clendenin, ... By him she had issue nine children, ...'

'Isabella Huston's first husband died while she was a young woman and she afterward married Nathaniel Eckels, a widower, who by his former marriage also had a family.
Isabella (Huston) (Clendenin) by Nathaniel Eckels, her second husband, had two sons, ...'

This information isn't consistent with a 1799 death date for James Clendenin (Find A Grave, but no grave marker) and a 1785 marriage date for Isabella and Nathaniel Eckels (FamilySearch Family Tree, no source citation). It isn't clear where the error lies.
