BEVINS, DELAWARR, LEATHERMAN, MCATEE, WEST
Requesting info on Isaac WEST of Rowan County, NC, and who married Mary BEVINS in December of 1793. Believe that Isaac's father was Jenkins WEST, originally of Prince George's County, Maryland. Jenkins died in 1805. Isaac had son, Andrew WEST, b. 1799, who married Sarah MCATEE, daughter of Zechariah and Susannah LEATHERMAN MCATEE. Does anyone know anything about Jenkins and his origins? Family history says that he is related to the DELAWARR family that founded Maryland. Andrew and Sarah WEST relocated to Pike County, Indiana, in the 1830's. Any help will be greatly appreciated.greatly appreciated.
