Children: 1. Isaac Samuel Butler; 2. Patrick Butler; 3. Moses Butler; 4. Lorenzo Butler; 5. Mitchell Butler; and 6. Job Butler (b. 1845, Thomas Co., GA).

This Isaac is possibly the same as Cpt. Isaac Henson Butler (b. 1778, Henrico, Caroline, Virginia), son of John Butler (1723-1810) and Mary Boughan (1742-1845). He was mentioned in the Virginia Argus News, Tuesday, 31 December 1805, pp. 3, col. 5: "Married on Wed. the 18th, Mr. Isaac [Henson] Butler of Cartersville to Miss Maria Overton, daughter of General Thomas Overton of the State of TN." Isaac Henson Butler was Commissioned a Captain of the 20th Regiment, 22 June 1811, Davidson county, Tennessee. And from Overton Genealogy: "Maria Virginia Overton, daughter of Sarah Woodson Overton (1st wife of Gen. Thomas Overton) married Captain Isaac Henson Butler of Clinton NC. They lived in Rutherford Co, TN. and had 2 sons: Dr John Butler and Thomas Overton Butler; Maria is buried near her Father's old home in Old Hickory, Tennessee. She died before her father and he mentions both her sons in his will."

Given Isaac's age at marriage, it's unlikely that Frances Sutton was his first wife. It's worth mentioning that Maria Overton, wife of the aforementioned Isaac Henson Butler, died in 1812, leaving more than enough time for Isaac to become an empty nester before marrying Frances Sutton in 1831.
