- 1810 - inherited Limerick Plantation from his uncle Elias Ball
- 1817 - his father dies and all his land and many slaves are sold at auction ;
- Isaac Ball purchases Hyde Park Plantation and 60 slaves
- by 1824 - he owned 571 slaves
- he lived in town and left the management of the rural plantations to the overseers
- he constructed a grand house on East Bay Street in Charleston
- in his will, he left
