NOTES: In 1850 Isaac was living with his brother, Eli Purchas in District No. 2, Mason County, Kentucky. He is listed as 25 years old and a merchant. In 1860 Eli is in Fleming, Fleming County, KY, Isaac died across the border in Mason County. I am sure they are brothers. I am also sure Eli is the one that sent the obituary to the Marietta newspaper in Marietta, Washington County, OH. Helena, Mason County, KY is at the bottom of that county. About 20 miles south of Maysville, KY. DEATH: Obituary for Isaac. Marietta Intelligencer, Wed. Morning, 27 Feb, 1856, pg. 3 col. 3."DIED At Helena, KY., on the 15th inst. , Mr. I. Norton Adams, aged about 30 years."
