IDA WEAVER... unsoundness of mind occurred about 3 weeks ago; she was born in Allen Conty and resides in Allen County and is 47 years old; her father and mother are dead....conveyed to the asylum at Hopkinsville Ky...her condition was such that she was unable to be brought into court ... May 21, 1917 ... housekeeper, married, habit good, education limited - what relations have been insane - Brother. supposed cause unknown... fits? no. attempt at suicide: no. Violence toward others: no KENTUCKY DEATH INDEX 1911-1986 WEAVER, Ida, DOD, 12/05/1917, DOB 1870, Age 047 ,Place CRSTN , Volume 065 , Cert 32479 , Deathvol 17, BP unknown, F. unknown, M. unknown, Cause: TB *died in Western KY State Hospital after a stay of 6 1/2 months* ALLEN CO KY TIMES, Dec 7. 1917, p. 2 MRS. SAM WEAVER Mrs. Sam Weaver of the Cedar Springs Community, died in Hopkinsville last Tuesday of Tuberculosis, and was brought here for burial on the evening train. She was a sister of Tom, Will, Ira, and John Haines. She leaves a large family of children. I don't know which brother this refers too as there were no Haines men in the book. Possibly your grandfather or another brother? It makes me wonder if the DC and Obituary are a "coverup" for the actual cause of death. I also don't understand the reference in the obit to "a large family of children" as I have only found 3 - B.J., Raymond, & Velma. Sharon
