SRC: Find-A-Grave notes on Huldah's listing Huldah received a dependent mother's pension from the government for the death of her son Nehemiah Sumner who died of the measles while he was a Civil War soldier. Her cert# 185,966. Original allowance Nov 1879. She received an $8 a month allowance.

Story goes that that most of her children were from Mr. White and they were not married.
