Family legend as told by Rev. Hugh Warren says that this old Hugh Warren's
father was born in France of English parents and later ran away to sea,
ending up in America. Seems unlikely --- census shows parents born in PA.
1. 1850 Census (Sept. 3, 1850) age given as 24. Occupation labourer.
2. 1860 Census (June 1, 1860) age given as 38. Occupation labourer.
3. 1870 Census (Aug. 10, 1870) age given as 42. Occupation Lab. at. C.M.
4. 1880 Census (June 11, 1880) age given as 50. Occupation laborer.
5. Army Discharge (Feb 2, 1863) age given as 31. Occupation miner.
6. Army Pension Appl. (Aug. 14, 1890) age given as 60.
7. His will left house to Mary Warren (sister) & land to Lizzie Ross (dtr.).
8. Buried in Richland Cemetery, Lot 609-610, Section D, Union Soldiers' plot, in Dravosburg, PA.
