Mr. Hubert Harold Coker, age 91, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday November 19, 2005 at the local hospital. He was born October 28, 1914 in Round Mountain, Alabama. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He was the former owner of Dalton Fire Protection. He was preceded in death sons, Danny Coker and Doug Sexton; brothers, Gordon and T. C. Coker; sister, Vera Coker. He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Coker; son, Avery Coker of Rocky Face, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Larry Mosley of Lafayette, GA; sister-in-law, Juanita Coker of Dalton, GA; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend William Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 pm Tuesday.
