!BIOGRAPHY: Howland, the eldest son of Daniel, was born on July 28, 1845. When a young man he took charge of the farm of his Aunt Rhoda Baker, the widow of Uncle Joseph Baker, whose farm adjoined his brother's. He lived there several years and after her death he moved to Mechanicville, where he built a home. On Sept.26, 1888, he married Catherine Elizabeth Baucus of Schaghticoke. They had no children. She died in 1909 and Howland on May 31, 1913.
