   Bio: Hinton Good was born around 1810 in North Carolina. I presume that Hinton was the son of Rosanna Good, however, this is just an assumption and should be taken as such.Hinton Good married Mary Lawson on August 5, 1842 in Highland County, Ohio. They had six children together. He then married the former Nancy Carey, mother of his brother-in-law’s wife, Eliza Lawson, on December 1, 1859, also in Highland County. Hinton fathered a seventh child named Edward whose maternity is unclear at this time.Hinton made the move from the Gist Settlement to Clark Township in Clinton County, Ohio by the time of the 1870 census. Nancy stayed in the settlement where she died in 1874. Hinton lived in the same area in 1880. Shortly after, Hinton migrated again, this time to Xenia, Ohio where he married for the third and last time to Martha Ann Carter on May 25, 1884.22 months later, on March 13, 1886, Hinton died at his home in Xenia, aged 76 of consumption. He was survived by wife, Martha Good; children, Anthony (Frances) Good, Charles (Sarah) Good and Charity (Harrison) Pearl; step-children, John (Elizabeth) Carey and Eliza (Thomas) Lawson; 27 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; former mother-in-law, Charity Lawson and son-in-law Alexander Powers. Preceded in death by wives, Mary (Lawson) and Nancy Carey Good; children, Frances Powers, Martha Woods, Thomas and Edward Good, and granddaughter Eliza Good.(Place of burial is an educated guess)
