His obituary appeared in the Saginaw newspapers: "Hildreth Brown -- Word has been received by Saginaw relatives of the death in Detroit Thursday of Hildreth Brown, son of George M. Brown, formerly general road master of the P. M. R. R. here. Hildreth Brown was born in this city and until 5 years ago made it his home. He is surived by a widow and a child. He was about 27 years of age."
