- ↑ Justice of the Peace Hilbert De Kleine, 65, of Hudsonville, died of a heart attack in a Grandville shopping center store Saturday night. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
De Kleine had been a justice of the peace since 1959. Prior to moving to Hudsonville nine years ago, he lived in Forest Grove. He was a former deputy sheriff in Ottawa County for 24 years and was a member of the Hudsonville Reformed Church. Surviving are the wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Irma) Brinks and Mrs. Robert (Eleanor) Hughes, both of Grand Rapids; six grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Myra De Kleine of Grand Rapids; five sisters, Mrs. John Van Oss of Hudsonville, Mrs. Alice Kiel, Miss Cornelia De Kleine, Mrs. Maurice Koets, all of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Harvey Vande Bunte of Forest Grove.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hudsonville Reformed Church with the Rev. Leonard Weessie and Dr. Jacob Prins officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove cemetery. Relatives will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 1:15 p.m. Mr. De Kleine reposes at the Yntema Funeral Home in Zeeland where relatives and friends may meet the family tonight from 7 to 9 p.m.
