Herman I (died 996), called Pusillus or the Slender, was the Count Palatine of Lotharingia, and of several counties along the Rhine, including Bonngau, Eifelgau, Mieblgau, Zülpichgau, Keldachgau, Alzey and Auelgau, from 945 until his death in 996.

He was the son of Erenfried II and Richwara of Zülpichgau. He was first married to Heylwig von Dillingen; secondly, to Dietbirg of Swabia. He left four sons and one daughter:

    Hermann I. genannt Pusillus (so viel wie der Kleine, der Schwache, der Zarte; † 996) war ab etwa 985 Pfalzgraf von Lothringen; darüber hinaus war er der Inhaber einer ganzen Reihe von Grafschaften entlang des Rheins, darunter der Bonngau (970, 992, 993), der Eifelgau (975, 978), der Zülpichgau (991), der Auelgau (996); schließlich war er Graf in Gerresheim (976), wobei nicht sicher ist, ob Gerresheim damals für den Keldachgau oder den Ruhrgau stand. Hermann war der Sohn von Erenfried II. aus der Familie der Ezzonen und Richwara.
