Hephzibah Cook was baptised on 26th July 1829 at Husborne Crawley in Bedfordshire, daughter of a lace maker called Mary Cook, formerly Bedford, and her husband James Cook, an agricultural labourer. The 1841 census finds Hephzibah living with her mother at New Town in Aspley Guise. On 23rd September 1846, aged 17, Hephzibah married a labourer called Isaac Perry at Aspley Guise. They went on to have a son called William the following year. Hephzibah's mother died in 1848 at Aspley Guise. Hephzibah died in 1849, aged nineteen, being buried at Aspley Guise on 16th April 1849. Isaac survived her by twelve years, and remarried in 1851. Hephzibah's father also survived her. References
