Henry H. bought land from his father, William Sr., in the Dicks Fork area in Stewart count then later moved across Cumberland River to land he bought from his father-in-law, Frances Smith. After Annie's death Henry H. Weaks, age 52 years remarried Joannah Weaks, age 44 years, the widow of his oldest brother William Weaks and had grown children. Each Henry H. Sr. and Joannah Weaks made marriage contracts in favor of their children. Henry H. Weaks Sr., in May 4, 1837 appeared before the Stewart County Tennessee County Court Clerk to make the marriage contract for each to retain their exclusive rights of all property that they each possessed at the time of marriage. She appeared on May 3, 1837, before the Stewart County Clerk, giving her daughters Eliza Ann Weaks and Mary Clementine Weaks the following Negroes: Elick and George. Flags: 0 |
