Byrom Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. 1878 - O'Connell Street, North Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. [See Carlton Hill Archives, FF52, Special Collections, Brotherton Library, Leeds University, England. OCCUPATION: Pharmaceutical Chemist. Merchant - though notsuccessful going under in the depression in South Australia inthe year 1841. Established a pharmacy in North Adelaide whichkept him and his family in comfort for the rest of his life. MIGRATION: To Australia with his family and his father and mother. They were going to join his sister and brother-in-law who had emigrated in the previous year to South Australia. Sailed from London, aboard the "Katherine Stewart Forbes" as cabin passengers - 11 Oct 1838. Arrived in Holdfast Bay in the Gulf of St. Vincent - 20 Mar 1839.
