Henry SINCLAIR was born 20sep1844, chr 3nov1844 at Clerkenwell, London and died 1924 at Whiston, Lancashire (B. Jones). Henry was brought up by his grandmother Janet Sinclair nee McIntosh (cf. 1861 census) and became a shoemaker (B. Jones). Henry married Mary Agnes BEESLEY (1844 Eccleston, Lancs-1906) 27dec1868 at Liverpool, Lancs (B. Jones). Mary Beesley was born 2nd qtr 1844 at Prescot. Lancs (which included Eccleston); Mary Agnes Sinclair (b. 1843) died 2nd qtr 1906 at Liverpool (bmd). Henry, known as Harry, moved to Huyton, nr. Liverpool, and had children between 1868 and 1886 (B. Jones).

In 1871 Henry Sinclair (1845 Clerkenwell, shoemaker), wife Mary Agnes (1844 Eccleston, Lancs.), children Agnes (1866 Eccleston), Daniel T. (1869 Old Swan, Lancs), and Peter (1871 Huyton) were at Huyton Quarry, Lancs. (census). In 1881 Henry Sinclair (b. 1845 Clerkenwell, bootmaker), wife Mary A. (1844, Eccleston, Lancs) and 7 children were at Huyton with Roby, Lancs. (census). In 1891 Henry Sinclair (1845 Clerkenwell), wife Mary A. (1844 Eccleston), children (b. Huyton) Peter (1871), Arthur (1873, like Peter, coalminer’s drawer), Donald (1877, errand boy), Maggie (1878), Janet (1881), Ernest (1884), Henry (1886) and grandson Henry Hodson (1890 Liverpool) (census).
