Margaret Campbell was born 22feb1816 and chr 7apr1816 at Abbey, Paisley, daughter of John Campbell and Margaret Marquies or Maquir (Latter Day Saints). Daniel, watchmaker, probably died between 1841 and 1851 (B. Jones). He lived in Clerkenwell, a watchmaking district, in the 1840s but in 1851 his family were in Glasgow. Daniel was a watchmaker according to his daughter Margaret’s death record (J. Mamantow). In 1841 Daniel Sinclair was a watch and clock maker, 176 Cowcaddens (Glasgow PO Directory). In 1841 Daniel Sinclair (b. 1816, outside county, watchmaker), Margaret (1821, outside county) and Peter (7months, Lanarkshire) were at Garscube Rd., Barony (census). In 1851 Margt Sinclair (1817 Paisley, grocer), children Peter (1841 Glasgow) and, b. in London, Margaret (1843), Henry (1846) and Janet (1848) were at 24 Cambridge Lane, Glasgow (census). References
