Facts and Events
Henry was a shoemaker, possibly a servant of Samuel Sharp. He lived in Salem, MA in May 1639 where he had a "half acre howse plott". By 1647 he and Dorothy were married and living in Ipswich, MA. The family moved to Lynn, MA by 1651 where they bought a house on 6 acres. "The land was described as bounded 'west next the town common, and east next a little river.' The 'town common' then meant the public lands in Woodend; and the 'little river' was Stacy's Brook." After Dorothy's death, Henry married Grace Eaton in 1680. |
