Facts and Events
There is a John Shupe in E. Huntington Twp, Westmoreland, PA on the 1820 census. He has a wife, no children. There are no Kollers in that township. There are a lot more Shupes in the 1850 Vermillion township census. Many look like they could be children of John Henry. From Cindy Sullivan I am searching for parents of Henry Shoop, b. abt. 1793 in PA, died 25 Aug 1859 in Sandusky, Erie Co., Ohio. He was married to Mary Barbara Kahler, b. abt 1795 in PA, d. 1880-1890 in Ohio. Their children were: Joseph (m. Vashti), Adam (m. Margaret Minister), John (m. Sarah), Samuel (m. Mary Kalb), Elizabeth Betsy (m. Robert Robach), Margaret Ann (m. 1. John Buster, 2. Daniel Barber), Abraham (m. Keziah), Jackson (m. Temperance Barber), Ellen (m. Joshua Kalb), Gearge (m. Sarah Driver), William Franklin (m. Mary Jane Slee). From A Standard History of Erie County, Ohio Mr. [Sherman] Shoop was a very small boy when his grandparents died and he has only few memories of those worthy people, who were of Pennsylvania nativity. Henry Shoop's will, dated April 2, 1859, was found at the Erie County Courthouse. He left his estate to his wife Barbara and her heirs. Barbara was also made executor of the will. Barbara Parnes and Henry J. Shoop witnessed the will. His name was confirmed by the will as being Henry J[ohn]. From Queries, Ohio Records and Pioneer Families #1343 Shoop--Slee--Kalb--Kaler Need Ohio corresp. of following names: Henry Shoop (Shupe) m.
