In the 1860 census for Sumner, Henry Scaggs is shown with wife Nancy, son James and daughter Chirdy (sp?), next door to son William Scaggs (and wife Sarah, son Aca) and son Thomas Scaggs (and wife Mary, son James). NOTE: In the 1865 Illinois State Census for Christia, he is shown as Henry Scags with one son and his wife (per enumeration in various census columns marked).
