The 1860 census for Christy, Illinois shows Henry Scaggs with wife Nancy ___, with son James and daughter Chirdy (sp?) in the household. Immediately next door is son William Scaggs with wife Sarah and son Aca (and one possible sister of either William or Sarah, as Mary Brown). Immediately next door on the other side of William's family is Thomas Scaggs with wife Mary and their first child James age 1. — The 1865 state census for Christia Illinois shows Henry Scags with he and one female over 60 but not over 70, and one male over 20 but not over 30 (probably James who was at home in 1860).
