I.- Napoleon, Ohio, Feb. 18, 1880- I have practiced medicine thirty one years. I knew S. H. Sidlinger about ten years before enlistment and that he was as I believe a sound and healthy man at the time of enlistment. In the year 1864, that during the Campaign of Atlanta, Geo., I treated him for hemorrhoids which was produced as I believe by hard forced marches while in the line of his duty as a soldier. I also treated him in the latter part of 1864 (I believe it was November or December 1864), for injury to back in lumbar region which was as he alledged and I believe caused by a post falling across his back. Said S. H. Sidlinger was chief Bugler of the 125th Regt O.V.I. I sent him to field hospital (in on account of above named disabilities in the month of Dec. 1864) to Nashville, Tenn.

Death of Dr. McHenry. Dr. Henry McHenry died at his residence in this city on Friday last. His funeral took place from the Presbyterian church, on Tuesday, the sermon being preached by Rev. Donahey. The burial services were under the direction of the Grand Army and the order of A., F., and A. M., of which organizations the Dr. was a member. Dr. McHenry was an old resident of Henry county, and one of the oldest practicing physicians in the Northwest. He was a Surgeon in the war of the rebellion, rendering efficient service to his country and doing much to alleviate the sufferings of his wounded companions in the war. His remains were followed to the grave by a large number of mourning relatives and friends. He was aged 65 years. Published in The Democratic Northwest, 25 May 1885.

Resolutions of Respect. The following resolutions were adopted by Napoleon Lodge, No. 236, F. and A. M., June 23d, 1885 "WHEREAS, It has pleased the Supreme Architect of the Universe, on the 23d day of May, 1885, to remove from our midst our brother, Henry McHenry, M.D.; therefore, RESOLVED, That in his death we have lost a kind and sympathetic brother; that we extend our sympathies to the widow and family of the deceased, and that a copy of these resolutions be presented to the widow and family, and one copy be furnished THE DEMOCRATIC NORTHWEST and THE NAPOLEON SIGNAL for publication.
