"Henry Gick, one of the community's old and respected citizens, passed away yesterday morning at his farm home in the town of Auburn. He had not been sick but a short time and his death came as a sad surprise to the entire community.

Mr. Gick was eighty three years old last August. He came to this country from Germany many years ago and has lived on his present farm in Auburn for about thirty years. He leaves a wife and large family of grown up children to mourn his death.

The funeeral will be held at the Catholic church, tomorrow morning, Rev. J. G. Laurer officiating." (Bloomer Advance, 20 Oct 1910)
