!BIOGRAPHY: Info from Cassedy genealogy document. 2/2010 Doris Cassedy explained that brothers James and Henry (Harry) had a milk route. Spencer D Cassedy left school at end of his junior year to help with this milk route. Infor from the Cassedy genealogy follows: (Harry) HENRY KNOWLES CASSEDY, son of William Augustus Tyler (4) and (Ellen) Eleanor (Teachout) Cassedy, b. homestead, Halfmoon, NY4 Oct. 1876; d. NY 24 Dec. 1933 (age 57); bur. Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville, NY (gravestone reads 1876 - 1933); he lived in the homestead where he was born until he was 10 years old He m. Halfmooon, NY 11 Feb. 1909 GRACE MAY DARROW; daughter of Stephen Cortland and Mary Jane (Whyland) Darrow; b. Schaghticoke, NY 19, Oct. 1881; d. 22/27 Apr. 1947 (age 65y6m0d); bur. Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville, NY (Gravestone reads 1881 - 1947); last residence Saratoga Springs, NY Spouse’s Lineage - Grace May Darrow’s paternal grandparents were Alexander and Harriet (Diver) Darrow. Her maternal grandparents were John and Catherine Mary (Clark) (daughter of Jacob and Sally (Miller) Clark) Whyland. John Whyland’s father, Jacob Whyland (born after mother landed in America), was the son of Leonard Whyland. Leonard Whyland (1720-1745) died on voyage to America from Holland about 1745. Jacob Whyland’s mother settled at Poestenkill, NY. Harry operated the farm known as the Cassedy “homestead” while his widow mother was alive. Harry died before his mother. The property was sold out of the family in 1934
