I believe she was the daughter of James Briggs (1816- ) and Caroline Sides (1822 NC - 1898 OK). Her mother remarried Joseph Rulon/Rulan/Rulen (1815 NC- abt 1877 IL) in 1851. 

 Henrietta and Benjamin had 5 children: James M. 1862-1866; David M. 1863-1867; Merta 1867-1868; Robert Lee 1869-879; and Lura Belle 1871-1944.
