Obituary, The Jefferson Bee (Jefferson, Iowa), 20 Mar 1956, page 3: Last Rites Held for Mrs. Wilson Herron; Bayard -- Funeral services were held for Mrs. Wilson Herron at the Coon Rapids Methodist church Friday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. Cecil C. Latta, in charge. Mrs. Roswell Jordan and Wayne Textor sang ÒBeyond the SunsetÓ and ÒIvory Palaces, Ò with Mrs. Paul Nelson accompanying them. Casket bearers were all nephews of the deceased -- Leo Kinnick, Lohrville; Edward Kinnick, Bayard; Burdette Kinnick, Audubon; Lyle Kinnick, Bayard; Howard Herron and LeRoy Smith. Burial was in the Orange Center cemetery, with the Rebekah lodge in charge of the graveside service. Helen Lucile Herron, duaghter of Alonzo and Jeanette Williams Kinnick, was born in Carroll county, Mar. 28, 1894, and died Mar. 13, 1956, in her home at Orange township south of Coon Rapids and Bayard. Survivors include her husband and 10 children: Mrs. Emmert (Margaret) Nelson, Audubon; Wilber E., Earlham; Donald, Coon Rapids; Duane, Bayard; Mrs. Clayton (Pauline) Roller, Glidden; Wilson C. Jr., and Mrs. Robert (Naome) Kepple, Des Moines; Mrs. Gene (Genevieve) Hilgenberg and Mrs Gene (Geneva) Crouch, Bayard and Mrs. Lyle (Shirley Ann) Sievers, Coon Rapids, plus 27 grandchildren; one brother, Paul Kinnick of Bayard and two sisters, Mrs. Everett Brideson of Sacramento, Calif, and Mrs. Delbert Ford of Coon Rapids. One brother, Robert, preceded her in death.
