In the 1930 Census Coleman Sellers III said his mother was born in New York and that to me sounds more logical than MD that I've seen in some charts. Her death certificate verifies that she was born in New York. Her Find-a-Grave memorial page has a picture of a beautiful lady in an elegant dress.

From R. T. Rogers: Helen graduated from Vassar College. She and Coleman had been associated in the same circle and met at the Bolton's Landing on Lake George, NY in the summer of 1879.
