Per family lor Heinrich von Walter traveled to the United States at the age of 13 and that he was by himself. Upon further searching he may have been 16. It is still not certain that he was by himself. Upon arriving in the United States it appears that the title "von" was removed and he was legally Heinrich Walter no "s" on the end. This being said based on baptismal records of his child Helene Margaret (Walter)Herfurth. Research is ongoing.
