Hazel Mae Nordman Marshfield News-Herald - Marshfield, WI PITTSVILLE -- Hazel Mae Nordman, 84, of 10244 Highway 54, Pittsville (town of Hiles), died June 17, 2010, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Hazel requested there be no public service or visitation, and her body was cremated. Hazel was born in the town of Hiles on May 16, 1926, to Edward and Vera (Wallace) Macha. She attended Scranton School and Pittsville High School, graduating in three years in 1944. She married Reuben Frey, and they later divorced. She then married Arnold Nordman, and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and had been employed through the years as a waitress and also at a cheese factory, Boeing Aircraft, cranberry marshes and a greenhouse/florist shop. She retired in 1988. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and flowers, quilting, doing crafts, woodworking, canning, dancing and reading. Survivors include her children: Sharon Doege, Vera Cole, Armella (Larry) Mitchell, William Nordman and Mary (Richard) Goecks; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; three grandsons; and special friend, James "Jim" Gordon. Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids assisted the family. |
