"I looked for an obituary for Hattie Simpson Hickman because I noticed that the the death date on her tombstone photo did not agree with the date in the family Bible. I couldn't find an obit, so got a death certificate. The death certificate not only gives us a third birth year, but also a bunch of information we didn't have on Hattie. She packed both he and her father up during the land rush, and drove the wagon from IL to OK to start a new life. They had quite a few children together, and about a year or so after he died, she married John Wesley, who was much older, and had my grandfather and his brother, who died at birth."
