  1. Smith Hattie B, 88, died Sunday in Parkview Hospital. A native of Syracuse, she had lived the past 4 ½ years at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter Whonsetler, 2521 Wells St., Fort Wayne. Funeral was Tuesday in L. H. Moore Funeral Home in Cromwell. Burial, Syracuse Cemetery. She had lived in Cromwell most of her life and was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church here. She was born in Syracuse Dec. 27, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Miles. She married Homer Smith in 1890, and he died in 1941. She left Syracuse in 1910, moving to Cromwell. She resided here until 1954 when she went to Fort Wayne. Also surviving are the other daughter, Mrs. Celia Kuhn of Pierceton; 3 sons, Ernest C. and Edward H. of Auburn, and Everett M., Louisville, Ky.; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. + 3-?-1959
