Harry Brian Torbett was born in 1897. He spent his early days in Antlers, Crowder, & Weatherford, Oklohoma. He moved arround a lot as a "Tramp Printer". He married in 1916, and har a child, Hary George Torbett (Feb 14, 1937) this arrage did not last, so Bill moved to Ringling and continued in the printing business he had learned in his youth.

Around 1918/19 he married Nona Harwell (Dau of Andy & Emma Harwell). To Bill and Nona were born 3 children, Jacqueline Clodell Torbett, (May 27, 1920) Genevieve Dale Torbett (Mar. 31, 1926) Bill Edward Torbett, (Nov 11, 1936)

Part of Bill's life was spent in Ardmore, OK before moving to Okmulgee, OK. From 1926 to 1939 he operated the Torbett Printing Service in Okmulgee. He served as postmaster from 1939 to 1953, and then returned to his printing.
