HARRY C. REFFNER
Of Roots Crossing, Tyrone RD 2, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 1978, in Altoona Hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Reffner retired as a blacksmith from the Pennsylvania Railroad, following 42 years' service. He was born Jan. 19, 1905, in Hill Valley, and was twice married, first April 9, 1925, to Katherine Cromer, who died July 18, 1965, and then June 20, 1977, to Audrey F. Crawford. Surviving are his wife, three children, George C. of Roots Crossing, Freemont C. of Tyrone and Mrs. Isabele College of Louisville, Ky., all by his first marriage; two stepchildren, William Crawford and Mrs. Martha Green of Roots Crossing; nine grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother, Clarence Stallman of Shenandoah, Va. Mr. Reffner was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Juniata. He was also a member of the Modern Woodsmen. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Charles W. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood.

REFFNER -- Services for Harry C. Reffner of Roots Crossing, Tyrone RD 2, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Charles W. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, by the Rev. Kenneth Barner. Interment in Grandview Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
