    Entered service, July 22, 1918, from Jeannette, PA. Assigned to the 153rd Depot Brigade then to the Camp Lee Replacement Depot. Transferred to Company A, 322 Machine Gun Battalion and shipped out with that Battalion to France, September 8, 1918. He was transferred in France to Company A, 105th Machine Gun Battalion, 27th Division. He returned from France, March 6, 1919, aboard the USS Leviathan and discharged from the service, April 5, 1919.
