The Late, Mrs. Harriet Fitch
By the death of Mrs. Harriet Fitch, which event took place at her late residence, Hannan-street West Maitland, at seven o'clock on Wednesday morning last. Maitland loses another of it's old and highly respected pioneers. The deceased lady, who was in her 83 year came from Nottinghamshire (England) to New South Wales in 1860 and of her long residence in the State she spent 50 years in Maitland, where she was very well known. She was predeceased by her husband the late John Fitch, by 35 years. Her descendants number 68 two sons, five daughters, 35 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren - a number which is rarely surpassed and much sympathy is felt with them. The funeral took place yesterday morning, interment being made in the Campbell's Hill cemetery.
