On 18 January 1866, George T. Seaver of Thompson in the state of Connecticut represented that Harriet S. Seaver who last dwelt in said Thompson died on the twenty-first day of April in the year ofo ur Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four possessed of goods and estate remaining to be administered, leaving a husband, whose name is George T. Seaver and as her only next of kin, the persons whose names, residence, and relationship to the deceased are as follows, viz: Everett T. Seaver Winfield Scott Seaver, minor children of the deceased. George T. Seaver requested that he be appointed administrator of the estate. Mr. George T. Seaver of Thompson in the State of Connecticut as principal, and Benjamin Wilson and M.M. Marble, both of Southbridge as sureties, were directed to post a bond of 500 dollars on 18 January 1866. George Seaver was directed to makle an inventory of the real estate and personal property, administer all of the credits, debts and property of the deceased, render a true account of his administration, pay any balances remaining to the heirs, and to deliver any will of the deceased to the court. This was signed on 14 February 1866. On 6 February 1866, the Court noted that George T. Seaver had petitioned the probate court in Worcester MA to be appointed administrator of the estate of Harriet S. Seaver, late of Thompson in the state of Connecticut, deceased, intestate, having been considered, and it appearing that he was the husband of said deceased, it was decreed that he be appointed administrator of the estate by Henry Chapin, Judge of the Probate Court. |
