Facts and Events
Taught school Chesterfield, NH and Putney, VT. 1864. Was domestic on Hudson River at marriage. Separated from husband in 1880's and worked as seamstress until 1904. Decorated by Red Cross for work in Springfield, MA during WW I. Executrix of her aunt Harriet (BUTTERFIELD) WHITE and bequeathed a paisley shawl. (BUTTERFIELD Line, unpublished monograph by Warner B. STURTEVANT, copy in files of David L. HAYNES.)
Buried in plot with her daughter Burr (COOK) HAYNES. The stone is marked HAYNES.
