                  McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - Harold M. "Barney" Gre ss Sr.,
                  78, of McConnellsburg, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at F ulton
                  County Medical Center, McConnellsburg.
                  Born Nov. 25, 1920, in Knobsville, Pennsylvania, USA, he w as the son of the
                  late Chalmers A. "Chow" and Hazel Owens Gress.
                  He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Kozer Gres s, in
                  1996.
                  He retired from PennDOT as an equipment operator in 198 2; he
                  also was a farmer.
                  He was a lifetime member of Bethlehem United Methodist
                  Church, McConnellsburg.
                  He was a lifetime member of Fulton Rodeo and Saddle Clu b;
                  and a former Todd Township, Pennsylvania, USA supervisor.
                  He is survived by six sons, Maynard Gress of Welsh Ru n, Pennsylvania, USA,
                  Ronald Gress, Gary Gress, Dennis "Zeke" Gress and Harol d
                  Gress Jr., all of McConnellsburg and Dale Gress of Ocal a, Fla.;
                  14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six
                  great-great-grandchildren.
                  He was preceded in death by a son; and two sisters.
                  Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Evangel Assemb ly of
                  God Church, McConnellsburg. Pastor Belvy White will off iciate.
                  Burial will be in Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
                  Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Sipes Fun eral
                  Home Inc., Harrisonville, Pennsylvania, USA; and Monday o ne hour prior to the
                  services at the church.
