Hannes Tiedemann was a German immigrant who came to Cleveland with his wife Luise and mother in law Wiebeka and who purchased the Franklin Castle (known then as the Tiedemann House in 1960) He was founder of the Euclid Avenue Savings and Trust.

However, the dates on his tombstone do not match the dates above. It says he was born April 12, 1832.
