Hannah Turner’s origins have yet to be established. Her first confirmed sighting is on 28th July 1764, when she married Robert Worvell at Guiting Power in Gloucestershire. At the time of their marriage he was recorded as living in the neighbouring parish of Naunton.

After their marriage, Hannah and Robert settled in Naunton, having seven children there between 1764 and 1775, including a pair of twins in 1766. One of the twins died as a baby, as did another child in 1771.

Hannah died in 1776, being buried at Naunton on 23rd December 1776. Robert survived her by nearly fourteen years.
