Obituary.

Hannah Jackson was born in Montgomery County, Ohio, December 19, 1829, died at her home near Altamont, Missouri, April 25, 1906, aged 76 years, 4 months and six days. She became the wife of John H. Burnham, February 15, 1848, the wedding taking place at the home of her childhood and with her husband came to Missouri in the summer of 1865 and settled upon the farm, where she resided with her grand-daughter, Mrs. Walter McAfee at the time of her death. Her husband died in 1893. To the union seven children were born; five of whom are now living; Henry Burnham, Washington; Mrs. Jennie Foster, Hutchinson, Kansas; Mrs. Anna Kalbfleish, Jefferson, Oklahoma; Danield Burnham, Howell County, Missouri; Mrs. Hattie Rocher, Indian Territory (Oklahoma). Those dead are Mrs. Whitt Snyder and Alice Burnham. Mrs. Kalbfleisch was the only child present at her death and burial. In early life she accepted the christian faith and remained a servant of her Master throuout her natural life. The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church in Altamont, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Purress, interment in the Winston Cemetary.
