- ↑ Mrs. Simon Spijker, 84, Orange City, died Tuesday at an Orange City nursing home. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Reformed Church. The Rev. Henry Elgersma officiated, and Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten-Olman Funeral Home. Mrs. Spijker, the former Hannah Marie DuVen, was born July 3, 1893, at Maurice. She was married Aug. 18, 1927, in Orange City. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church. Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Shirley) Vogel of Orange City, two grandchildren, and two Greatgrandchildren.
