The New York World, Friday, February 16, 1872, Page 8, Column 6:

“MARRIED. PETERS—DIXON — On Tuesday, February 13, at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Brooklyn, by the Rev. Charles H. Hall, Hamilton H. J. Peters to Clementine, youngest daughter of the late Henry Dixon, all of this city.”

This gives us her father’s name, but not that of her mother. Tragically, Hamilton H. J. Peters also passed away when he was still young, as New York City records and a newspaper announcement attest:

From The New York Herald, Tuesday, April 27, 1886, Page 8, Column 5:

“PETERS.—On Saturday, April 24, HAMILTON H. J. PETERS, in his 41st year. Funeral services at Grace Church, Brooklyn, on Tuesday, April 27, at two o'clock P. M.”

The date of death stated in the death notice differs with that of the Death Certificate cited on the Italian Genealogical Group’s website, so more research needs to be done to determine which of the dates is the correct one [based on previous experience, I would trust the date given in the newspaper more than the transcription of the Death Index].

According to the 1880 census record Hamilton spent his last days in an institution.
