Halsey Barnes was born about 1865 in Place: Geneva, Wisconsin. He was the third son of Family:Thomas Barnes and Sarah Brewster (1). Halsey was the youngest of six children. He spent his childhood in Geneva, Wisconsin and then moved with his family to Seneca, Illinois (just a short distance South across the Wisconsin/Illinois border). He was married to Person:Mary Hansmann (1) 1 Jun 1893 and was the father of two children (Lola and Roy). Halsey was a blacksmith by trade. After a short four years of family life, Halsey's seetheart, Mary, passed away. Halsey never remarried and died 14 Jul 1929 in Woodstock, Illinois.
