    Marriage Licence Certificate of Thomas Barnes
    Whereas Thomas Barnes of Geneva in the County of Walworth & Territory of Wisconsin of lawful age has this day personally appeared before me the undersigned and made application for a marriage licence & having been by me duly sworn & examined relative to the legality of a contemplated marriage between Sarah A. Brewster of the Town, County & Territory aforesaid himself. Now Therefore I being fully satisfied from each examination under oath that there is no legal impediment thereby do hereby grant full power & licence to the said Thomas Barnes & Sarah A. Brewster to be joined as husband & wife. Given under my hand this 4th day of Nov. 1845.
