Safely at Rest. Died at her home east of Woodstock, on Friday afternoon. Oct. 29. Mrs. H. W. Barnes nee Mary Hansmann. A few weeks ago Mrs. Barnes went to a hospital in Rockford and was operated upon and returned to her home with great prospects for recovery, but was again taken to her bed, and a second time submitted to a surgical operation and after weeks of great suffering passed away on Friday. The funeral was held from the German church on Sunday afternoon and was one of the largest ever held in the community. Her many friends sympathize with the family in their great loss.
