Faculty For Grade and High School Is Complete (1944) Howard Courant-CitizenAugust 31, 1944One of the most important factors in any successful school system is the teacher. Now, more than ever before, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find competent instructors for our schools. Not only the young men teachers, as in past wars, are called to the Army and Navy, but young women as well are joining for the many military opportunities that have been opened to them. In addition to this and during the past few years defense and other industries have drawn most heavily upon the teaching profession with their high wage scales, which were quite beyond the possibilities of most school budgets. The board of education feels most fortunate therefore in being able to announce a complete faculty roster for the coming school year. These faculty members are selected on the basis of their special training and experience in their various fields of teaching.Parents are invited to visit the schools, and to become acquainted with the persons who are in charge of the training of their children. The best co-operation between the home and the school cannot be obtained unless a fair degree of acquaintance is established. It is therefore to the best interests of all that parents establish that acquaintance as a basis for better school work. The faculty for the 1944-45 term is as follows:High SchoolOtis G.
